The council's existing emergency centre suffered significant damage during severe weather, leaving them without a proper facility to coordinate r nses to local incidents and emergencies. With winter approaching and the increased risk of flooding and severe weather events, they needed a replacement facility operational within three months. Traditional construction methods would have taken 18-24 months, far too long for such a critical service.

Vector Space Modular designed and manufactured a b ke two-storey modular emergency centre featuring a main control room, briefing areas, secure communications suite, staff facilities, and backup power systems. Our off-site construction approach allowed us to begin manufacturing whilst site preparations were completed, significantly reducing the overall timeline. The modules incorporated advanced soundproofing, enhanced security features, and flexible internal layouts to accommodate various emergency scenarios. All electrical and data infrastructure was pre-installed and tested before delivery, ensuring seamless integration of the council's existing communication systems.

The emergency centre was delivered on schedule and became operational just 12 weeks after contract award, enabling the council to maintain full emergency r nse capabilities throughout the critical winter period.
