The existing custody suite was condemned following an HMICFRS inspection. A replacement was needed within 12 months to avoid relying on neighbouring forces for custody provision.
Our Solution
We delivered a complete 24-cell custody suite featuring secure cells, interview rooms, forensic medical examination suite, CCTV monitoring room, and all associated support spaces. The facility met all Home Office custody design guidance.
The Results
Delivered in 24 weeks, the new suite received an Outstanding rating from HMICFRS on its first inspection. Custody throughput increased by 35% and detainee welfare outcomes improved significantly.
