A comprehensive new study published by the UKGBC has confirmed that modular construction generates up to 67% less waste than traditional building methods. The research also found that off-site construction produces 45% less embodied carbon and requires 30% fewer vehicle movements to site.
These findings reinforce what the modular construction industry has long advocated — that building in a factory-controlled environment is fundamentally more sustainable than building on site.
